IKEA launches first planning studio in Singapore

The studio features a showroom modelled after a 3-room HDB flat.

IKEA has launched Singapore’s first planning studio powered by interior design and renovation platform Livspace, offering end-to-end personalised home interior design, planning and renovation services, according to a press release.

At around 100 sqm, the studio features a specialist showroom modelled after a 3-room HDB flat and virtual inspirations through SmartPhotos by the Livspace Platform. Designed like an IKEA showroom, the studio aims to address the challenges of living in a small space.

Its solutions range from space-saving kitchens to living room smart storage solutions and fitted wardrobes. Décor and furnishings will also be refreshed periodically throughout the year to offer inspirations for customers.

In addition, SmartPhoto allows customers to scan any room in the store using QR codes and virtually change the products and room style to suit their preferences and budget. As the products are being updated in SmartPhotos, the room price are updated in real-time.

The IKEA Planning Studio will offer move-in ready packages starting from $7,451.45 (S$9,900) and will provide renovation and construction services as well as IKEA furniture and furnishings.

Customers can also make complimentary one-to-one appointments with designers. Further, any furniture bought at the Planning Studio as part of the Interior Design and Renovation package will be delivered to homes for added convenience.
