Don Don Donki to debut in Taiwan

Discount store chain Don Don Donki is opening its first store in Taiwan in the downtown area of Ximending on 19 January, Pan Pacific International Holdings (PPIH) Group’s Taiwan Pan Pacific Retail Management announced in a bourse filing.

The company seeks to strengthen its assortment of fresh foods that are popular at Don Don Donki, as well as the appeal in the store. It will particularly enhance the handling of its Japanese apples, aiming to meet the needs of local customers.

The store will also have a fresh fish corner in addition to live shellfish, which the store will incorporate for the first time. It will also have fresh seafood directly sent from Otoro and Toyosu, as well as in-store prepared side dishes and sushi.

The store will also have daily necessities, cosmetics, and home appliances.

According to PPIH, ​​young people from all over Taiwan gather at Ximending amidst the pandemic. Department stores, movie theaters, and fast fashion brand stores are lined up in the surrounding area, attracting many people.
