It features seven brands from the alumni of a fashion designer contest.
Hong Kong’s online platform Fashionally and Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s (PolyU) fashion lifestyle lab ITC Store are collaborating on an online-to-offline (O2O) store with seven brands making their debut, according to a press release.
The seven brands are all alumni of the Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest (YDC). For the month of January, the store features designer brands Charlotte Ng Studio, KURT HO, and phenotypsetter.
Customers can buy their latest collections online or visit the ITC STORE showroom at the PolyU campus, where two or three designers are featured on rotation monthly until 11 April.
A graduate of the Institute of Textiles and Clothing at PolyU, Charlotte Ng placed second and won the Best Footwear Design Award at YDC. After winning the contest, she launched her namesake womenswear label Charlotte Ng Studio in 2019.
Meanwhile, Kurt Ho graduated with a BA in Fashion and Textiles Design from PolyU. He launched his namesake label in 2014, and was Hong Kong's official representative for Asia Fashion Collection.
Jane Ng, founder of phenotypsetter, opened her concept store at PMQ in 2014. She completed an MA in Visual Arts (Experience Design) in 2015 and later worked as a part-time lecturer of Wearables at the Hong Kong Baptist University.
